Our new project is constructed landscape. when i think of landscape i think of when people take pictures of the sunset and wide areas , the city sky line and more. What i like most about landscape is like all the bright colors in the far distance and all the tress and the mountains. My ideal landscape picture would be the sunset or the clouds in the back
what do you see in your mind's eyes when your hear the word landscapes? i see painting when i see the word landscapes. Do a google images search for the word landscapes. what kinds of pictures appear? the kind of pictures you see are vanishing points , and forest and the city of London and some of the roads and the sunset
10 words that remind me of you constructed landscape 1. square 2. country side 3. aeroplane 4.painting 5. school 6. football pitch 7. friends 8. shops 9. beach 10. eye catching
LANDSCAPE MIND MAP
these are some images i found the images of landscape , they're all outside and the tone is mostly dark. most of these images are the same genre as in a road and the sunset in the back ground.
Different type of landscape
my idea of landscape would include : sunset , trees , hills, the motor way etc

In this image Binet uses a lot of light colours on this image to show the bold ness of the images
Guy Tillim
Guy Tillim is a South African artist.
this is my response to Tim Tilliin , it was kind of hard because most of his pictures are around in like different countys and like the roads are dusty and a lot of his pictures were like framed . So i tried to re create the ones with the frames in them and i feel like i did a good job , better than i thought i would do.
This is my response to Guy Tillim , i tired to re create his pictures but it was hard because most of his pictures are taken around the world
Charles Wilkin
what are the multi colored shapes? what do they remind you of? The multi colored shapes he uses are all different because they’re all bigger than the other and they’re How are they placed within the images? The images are placed on top of each other and kind of on an angle and over lapping each other Do the colored shapes make sense? i think most of the colored shapes make sense because all the bright colours he has used go with all the dull colours he has used too.
Corinne Vionnet
Corinne Vionnet is an artist from Switzerland , she is a pioneer in the exploration and re-purposing of web based imagery. A lot of her work includes photographic image making , archival research and collages.
these are some of Corinne photographs, they're really interesting because it looks like she has sketched the photos to have that little blurry effect
Awoiska Ven Der Molen
My response to the Artist
This is my image response to Awosika Ver Molen
Awoiska was a a Dutch artist born in 1974 , photography is her main focus. Most of her images are black and white , that are an abstract representation anoymised landscapes which are mainly nature. In 2017 , her work was shortlisted for the Deustche Borse photography foundation prize and she won the Larry sultan photography award 2017.
this is what Awoiska has said about some of her black white pictures and i got this from her website , "My black-and-white photographs of mountains, forests or bodies of waters thus become abstract representations of anonymised landscapes, the result of my urge to return to our origin."
one thing she doesn’t tell anyone is where she takers her pictures because she wants you to be able too fell the photo she has taken
These are some of her pictures. , as you can see she mainly uses black and white. the space is really important and the distance and the landscape is like always looking down , the frame is filled mainly filled with nature
luke saxton
I chose these photographs from Luke Saxon as I found these ones to be the most interesting because I love the fact that he has captured small scenes from everyday life which seem to be so 'still'. There is a stillness in his images which shows me something which I wouldn't ordinarily look at,, he makes you look at them closely. the words i would describe to use these pictures is colorful , lifeless with the images in the water. the picture that caught my eye the most is the top right one because its little someone having a car boot sale and them trying to get money and selling stuff and them just waiting for people
Collages
My class created a collage by using certain pictures and we used up to 1 or 3 pictures , I took photos of them after to makes these collages. One thing i would improve about this collage is not have things in the background and try cop it out.
Obscured Images
I was struggling to take photographs as my phone was broken. The previous lesson were were taking photographs using film to distort the images. I started to use my broken camera phone. Thae lens of the camera was brken so I could only take images that were blurred, and I loved the way they looked. The landscape can be seen. These are my pictures i have taken with my broken iPhone 7, As you can see theres a lot of black dots/patches from my camera because my camera is very broken
these are my pictures that i have that i have taken of the blurry ones and i have edited them on I-photo and changed them all to black and white, they look like its someone finger prints touching the screen. In the background its my school and our basketball court and the filed .
These are my images that i think failed because i don't like the way they're placed on the door and how they are very far apart from each other.
this is another failed set of pictures , i don't like these also because i don't like how they are placed on the doors and the angles i took the pictures at.
this is a development of my pictures that i took with my broken
The effectiveness of the my photos is that you can see what it was before like the trees in the background some of the schools buildings etc. what i think does not work well with the photos is that the bluetack i used to stick up the pictures is that you can see it. Some people when they see these pictures is they might think its just a black screen with dots on it and its not that its pictures i have taken with my broken phone. Something i have learned about this project is that you can take good pictures using a broken phone
ALIKI BRAINE
I picked to use Aliki Braine images because they get my attention the most because i like the way she has used circles in her images because it makes you wanna focus on the circles
MAKING DAY
These are my constructed landscape pictures i've taken. i have edited these photos on iphotos and have turned them black and white. I decided to turn these black and white because i think it looked good and i think it looks better in black and white because it bring out
I decided to experiment with different transfer techniques after I saw an experiment with acetone . This is my out come of my school landscape , the first two pictures are my first attempt of landscape with acetone , the last two pictures are me still using acetone and then going over the pictures in colour pictures but it didn't come out with colour. At first I attempted to use cartridge paper for the first couple tries and it turned out better than I thought and then i use Mount board, a thicker card in the last two pictures , personally I think the card looks better because it is thicker. The way i made this piece of landscape work is that i had to use acetone (nail polish remover) and then i printed my pictures i had taken around my school in black and white because it works better using black and white pictures.
Alice Quaresma
Most of Alice Quaresma's images are made using a square format camera. I find this odd as most of the images I'm used to seeing of the landscape are landscape in shape. They make me feel peaceful and relaxed, i also like how there are random paint squares and different shapes on the image thats what i like most about her work.
These are my first response to her pictures pictures , i think i done ok for a first attempted my favourite ones i done was the first 3 because i fell like they were so simple and my type of art that i find interesting. I started to struggle with the last two pictures because i didn't know how it would turn out because i used paint and ink paint too to try and see how it would turn out and i think it looks good
These are also images i had made using ink and paint
Collective work
This was a group collage that i had to do with my class friends , we all had different sheets and had to rip then up and keep giving each other and try make a piece out of them. This is my finished piece and really love them because i feel like its interesting with all the different
SUSTAINABLE DARKROOM
What is the sustainable photography project? The Sustainable darkroom is a company
I think we need to consider sustainable photography more now because climate change and environmental problems and sustainable photography it isn't harmful. The process we had to do is that we had to go outside and get some leaves and we had to use light sensitive paper and we had a choice to either use sun cream , Vaseline and sunflowers oil , vinegar these are not harsh chemicals that could ruin the environment , the development solution was made out rosemary leaves , sodur crystals. The resources we used
SLIDES
In these photographs this is a slide i made and the way i made this slide was i used scapulae and i used clear colour paper and then i had 2 of my friends are holding these cards in front to show an effect and card with the circles in it and giving it like a moon effect and the bottom and i really like it. One thing i would improve about my slides is how shaded in the background i personally do not like it because it looks rushed and it just looks like random scratches on the background
Tallis Weeds
I decided to experiment with cyanotypes today as it was a bright day. I decided to collect weeds from around the school and make images with them. Cyanotypes is a photographic printing process. This is a process using natural sunlight to make prints onto the paper which is coated with chemicals to make it light sensitive paper. I found the process enjoyable and I found this way of making photographs quite magical. I think this print was successful but I'd like to change the composition and I'd like to have more negative space. I will i my next try space out all the nature that i picked up.
This is my second attempted of doing cyanotypes and this one i prefer because there are more negative spaces and you can now see the shape of the leaves and the nature i used , having more negative spaces bring out the colours and the shapes and makes the picture a lot more intriguing.
This is another cyanotype I made.
I decided to take some more photographs of nature. I wanted to combine these photographs with the cyanotypes that I had already taken but at this stageI wasn't sure how to do that. I took these images using my phone camera. I took them with the intention of creating a type of collage but still not sure of what to do. I think the close up ones of the leaves where you can see the detail, such as shapes and the different colours.
These are my cyanotypes that i made and i had cut them out into shapes of leaves and grass and etc , and then i had used images i. had taken of the nature and i had collaged them with my cyanotypes and this is how it turned out.
i was influenced by an artist to put paint over my cyanotypes because it looked really good and it brings the cyanotypes more and makes the shapes of the leaves more and makes it more interesting and
